Christmas day 2017 in South East Queensland had a chance of storms forming and mother nature didn’t disappoint. I had watched the system develop, and start to move north, but not showing any real defined structure. I moved ahead of the storm, keeping an eye out for anything that captured my interest. Suddenly this scene appeared before me and I quickly stopped, and captured this photograph. I had 30 seconds to get this right. With those ominous layered clouds above the barn, and Flinders Peak as a wonderful backdrop, there is very much a sense of the calm before the storm surrounding this barn.
